Let's sing together - Lasst uns singen!

Founded in 2019 by the German Honorary Consul’s Office in Brisbane, the German Youth Choir brings together passionate young singers from across the city — from German immersion schools, the German Saturday School, local German programs and the wider Brisbane community. The choir performs at key events such as German National Day, Oktoberfest, Brisbane German Week, as well as school celebrations and public concerts.
Open to singers aged 9–18 and beyond by invitation, no prior musical or German language experience is required. Under the leadership of Beatrice Klepper — Germany-trained classical vocalist and educator — rehearsals build vocal technique, confidence, and a strong connection to language and culture.
Whether fluent or just beginning, experienced or new to singing, young people are invited to grow musically, connect culturally, and belong to a supportive community.

German Kinderlieder | 30 minutes | Fortnightly Sundays (after GYC rehearsal)
The Singkreis at the German Club is a relaxed, family-friendly German song circle for children aged 4–8, held at the Brisbane German Club directly after the German Youth Choir Brisbane rehearsal. On fortnightly Sundays, following the Youth Choir (10:30 AM–12:00 PM), children can join Beatrice for around 30 minutes of German Kinderlieder — playful songs, simple musical participation, and culture through music, with Beatrice accompanying on guitar.
There are no fees. Children who are already on the premises with their parents are welcome to sit and listen — or to join in and sing. Parents are welcome to stay with their child, especially at the beginning, until they feel comfortable to participate independently.
